Wrinkle injection with plasma (PRGF) using the BTI method
PRGF (plasma rich in growing factors) used for implants and wrinkle injections
FAQ: on wrinkle injection
Which method is used for wrinkle injection?
BTI’s method, namely PRGF Endoret. PRGF stands for
Plasma rich in growth factors.
How does it work?
We take blood from the client and put it in a special and patented centrifuge. After the procedure we get highly concentrated plasma and fibrins. The plasma is injected into the skin and guarantees body-specific material without side effects.
What does the plasma do in the skin?
First we have to understand why you get wrinkles. As you get older, less hyaluronic acid and collagen are produced, so the skin becomes less elastic and wrinkles begin to form.
And how do plasma and fibrins work in the skin?
When plasma is injected into the skin, it activates our own cells to produce hyaluronic acid, thus reducing wrinkles. The fibrin is only used externally for faster healing and leaves a wonderfully smooth skin.
As a dentist, can you use plasma and fibrins in the practice?
Yes, it is completely legal in Spain, maybe not in other countries. This method has been used successfully in Montgó Dental for many years, even with implants and artificial bones, healing is much better through the use of plasma PRGF. The technique of injecting wrinkles with plasma improves the image of the skin and helps to look younger, but should not be confused with other fillers that are chemical and not bio-compatible.
